I worry about social media in terms of the unrealistic version people portray of themselves. Young girls watching video's and posts are too naive to understand that what they are watching is not a real representation. Often what sits behind glamorous posts is pretty sad. Thats what I was thinking when I wrote this poem.

Feels good

On top of the world

Popular princess

throwing shade from up high

Likes are dropping

Oh, that hurts

Panic

Not so fun

Maybe its me

Not pretty enough

Not funny enough

Too fat

Life sucks

Can't cope

No friends

Left when I left them

Good for nothing

Actually I'm not

Within

The true me

Feels good

Off the screen
